The role of director in the success of a film is quite crucial and very vital. Unless the director knows what exactly has to be portrayed on screen, things will not move smoothly. Interestingly, the year 2015 has witnessed many directors coming out of their comfort zone to become producers and distributors- thereby testing their luck in financial front as well!
The logical director Sukumar became producer for the first time to make a bold youthful film Kumari 21F which became one of the biggest hits this year. Puri Jagannadh also did the same by producing the shocking film Jyoti Lakshmi which fetched him decent returns. The grand filmmaker Gunasekhar also thought that for his great vision of Rudramadevi’s life is to be implemented, it is best to produce his own flick.
The small film wonder Maruthi and Gabbar Singh fame Harish Shankar chose to become distributors for better promotion of their respective films Bhale Bhale Magadivoy and Subrahmanyam for Sale.
It is a great positive trend which happened this year with more film personalities experimenting on their abilities to do more!
