When the trailer of Bhai starring Nagarjuna was released, the audience was impressed with the superior style and sequences shown. Punch dialogues by Nagarjuna in the trailer created ripples in Tollywood because some people felt it was directed straight on Pawan Kalyan. Nagarjuna himself was actively involved in the promotion of the film, thereby creating even more expectations. But when the film was released, amidst serious political disturbances in Seemandhra region, the film failed to meet the standards.
Why is it so?
August and September were quite turbulent times in Seemandhra region especially for filmmakers. The producers were scared to release their respective films because of bandhs and strikes. It was when Attarintiki Daredi was released finally in the midst of piracy bug. Witnessing the success of it, Nagarjuna- the producer cum hero of Bhai thought it would be best to release the film and get gains. Devi Sri Prasad’s music also looked promising but when the actual film released, the audience were thoroughly disappointed with it. Lack of content, characterization and repetitive sequences made Bhai boring. Apart from Nagarjuna’s stylish appearance, there was nothing else in the film.
IQlikmovies.com feels Bhai is one of the worst films in 2013 because of style sans content factor and wrong timing of its release!
